New Year’s Eve in Brooklyn Driving Or Train?
Lost in America asked:
I live in Metuchen, NJ and am going to a New Year’s Eve party in Bay Ridge. The place I am going to is in between the Bay Ridge Avenue and 77th Street Stations off of the R. However, it would be dumb for me to take the train into Penn Station and then take the subway to Brooklyn, a 2 hour ride each way, when I can drive and Valet Park which will only take me 30-45 minutes going over the Outerbridge and the Verrazano.

good luck driving on New Years.
if you and I started out at the same location but i’m taking the train and you a car…
id probably get there and back before you got halfway there.
good luck!
Well, if it was up to me, I’d take the train. There are a lot of drunks driving on New Year’s Eve. The train may take a long time (and yes, it’s a shame there’s no direct mass transit from Central NJ to Brooklyn. It’s so close by car, and so far by mass transit.) But it’ll be a much nicer ride, and much more relaxing – not to mention safer, to take the train!
