Recommended Places to Live in Brooklyn?

My friend and I are looking to move to a place in Brooklyn and would like to know which places are considered a “bad area”, and which are good. She previously lived in Bay Ridge, which we know is a good area, but not many places are available there. So can somebody break it down and let me know what locations are good/bad? Thanks!

If you were looking at Bay Ridge, then you can consider Dyker Heights.
