It’s a large neighborhood, not a single intersection. People have different views on how far Park Slope stretches, but I’d say it goes from Flatbush Avenue at the north end to Prospect Avenue at the south end, and from 4th avenue at the west to Prospect Park West (aka 9th avenue) on the eastern edge.
Well, as another person already said, it sort of depends on who you ask.
However, certain borders everyone agrees on:
Everyone will tell you that Prospect Park is a border to the East, and that Flatbush Avenue is the border to the North. The Western border is more firm than it used to be, most people would say it’s 4th Avenue today.
The question really is – how far South does the “South Slope” go???
I would put it all the way to Greenwood Cemetery these days, but many people would say 14th – 16th Streets. But that’s the line everyone disagrees about anyway, so there is no sure line down there.
