How Long Does It Take to Get Into Manhattan (specifically Soho)?
AWM asked:
Trying to narrow down the different neighborhoods in Queens and Brooklyn that I might be moving to. Need to know on average how long it takes to get from the specific neighborhoods to my future job in Soho…
Astoria, Jackson Heights- Qns
Williamsburg, Prospect Heights, Park Slope- Brooklyn
(on the subway)

Assuming you’re taking the subway.
From Astoria, about a little over an hour.
From Prospect Heights, about 40-45 minutes.
If you’re driving, subtract 10-15 minutes assuming little traffic. Then add about 10 hours for parking spot.
Quickest is from Brooklyn – just take the L and you are in Manhattan, Astoria is a great place to live but the train takes forever. Jackson heights is okay, not my cup of tea…a little bit of a long trip too.
Just my opinion. There are a lot of factors at come into play – weather is a big one.
By the way – no such thing as a parking spot in Soho.
Jackson Heights to Soho = 35-40min -7 train , express 7 to W or N or to 6 train.
Astoria to Soho =25-30min on the W and N Train
williamsburg to soho = 20min – L train to 6 train
