What is the Best Place in Brooklyn to Live for Two College Students?
Micki23 asked:
We want a safe neighborhood, with people similar to our age, but still accessible to Brooklyn College. Does anyone know of any neighborhoods that would be a good fit? we already have been looking into Cobble hill, Caroll Gardens, Midwood, Greenpoint, and Williamsburg. Does anyone have suggestions about which is the best and any other neighborhoods would help too. Thanks!

I am assuming your age is anywhere from 18-22, and I am ignoring any price factors involved. Most of the Brooklyn college students I know that live near campus either live in flatbush (however not the HOTTEST neighborhood with a young population) or apartments near midwood (not that lively either, nice quiet jewish neighborhood. However, you can try the end of Park slope, noted for its younger, hippier population, around Bergen street and grand army plaza for any available apartments etc. It is right near the 2 train which can bring you to Brooklyn college in less than 30minutes. Moreover, the above neighborhoods you listed are all good and a good fit. For the trendiest, youngest neighborhood I would say Williamsburg is the best out of what you listed(and park slop for what you didn’t list). For best convenience and quality of life, midwood would be best…but you would need to travel if you want to interact with people your age/party etc.
