they were in a group that had bigger stars in it, thus causing them to be forgotten?

the first one that comes to my mind is bushwick bill…who’s actually my favorite geto boys member…but he never gets his props cuz everyone remember’s scarface..same with MC chill..he was actually pretty decent, but half the time people don’t even mention him cuz of MC Eiht..
I forgot about the inspectah.he’s actually a hell of a rapper, just he don’t get no props cuz everyones talking bout meth, ghost, rae, and gza

Fredro Starr, because of Sticky Fingaz
Prince Po, because of Pharoahe Monch
Phife Dawg, because of Q-Tip (to a lesser extent)
Big Boi, because of Andre 3000 (also, to a lesser extent)
hahahaha The Whole G-Unit
D12 Except for eminem
Dj Quik
Korrupt
Bustah Rhymes
Ja Rule(but he dont really count as a rapper)
Vanilla ice

Dead Prez
David Banner
Lil Flip
Shawnna
Ice Cube
Slim Thugg
MIMS
Rich Boy
Andre 3000
Part of Wu-Tang Clan
Clipse
N.E.R.D.
Lil Scrappy
Bone Thugz
Red Man
sheek louch of the lox is the dopest one to me
All of the above plus Styles P, Willie D, Pimp C, Havoc, The Furious Five with the exception of Melle Mel, Daz, AZ, Foxy Brown (maybe), Pras, Swift and the other D12 members, The Outlawz, Junior M.A.F.I.A. (with the exception of Lil’ Kim), Turk (and Lil’ Wayne prior ‘04), Juelz Santana, and the Treacherous Three (not including Kool Moe Dee).
ok lets see what people think of this:
I say U-God in Wu-Tang (I actually listen to his solo stuff)
Big Syke in Outlawz (people think of Pac but I like Big Syke)
probably Pras of The Fugees.
coz I only remember him
when I hear the song Ghetto Superstar.
U-God for sure. 1st verse on Da Mystery of Chessboxin and his verse on Cherchez La Ghost, underrated big time.
Parrish Smith. Erick Sermon gets all accolades but PMD had mad flow.
I agree with Bushwick Bill 1000%. His last verse on Mind Playin Tricks on Me crushed.
MC Ren (NWA). All people talk about is Ice Cube, Eazy E and Dr Dre but Ren threw down. His lack of solo success did him in.
$Ant$ is right. MC Ren Gets NO credit in N.W.A its always Eazy-E Dr.Dre and Ice cube.
Redmen is another [like other poeple mentioned here].
We Gotta look at Big L. I ask alot of people whos big l most people say idk.
ALOT of rappers were Forgotten because there prime was in the East Coast West Coast Feud. And then All you Heard about was 2pac and Biggie. Suge or Puffy.
Your right we never hear that Much of Scarface Mc Eiht. Lets also see Slick Rick,Common,Chuck D,Kool G Rap
I made a fourm that whos better.
Lil Wayne Or Slick Rick
Out of 20 votes 20 said Lil Wayne is better.
You know what they all said.
“Who’s Slick Rick?
Alot of 80’s rappers Such as Big Daddy Kane,Rakim,KRS-One,Kool G Rap. Arnt even known Due to this new hip hop age.
THOSE LEGENDS arnt even Friggen regonized By Alot of people only by people who listed to hip hop in the 80’s OR True Hip hop fans.
In this age its not in Who’s the best Lyricaly Flow Wise or w/e.
It’s Who has the Best Beat And the most Money.
It’s Sad So Many Good artist overshadowed by this.
Pep Lover from Hieroglyphics
hes just as good as Del, but Del is really the only one everybody talks about
too many GOOD rappers are forgotten about because ppl are too busy worried about the next Lil Wayne mixtape…
his vid could have just went off you forget one one line in the song and the name of the song…but when Wayne go off you remember the whole song and it be about the same stuff the last song was about just in diff. words…
