1987- Scott La Rock’s murder.

1996, 1997- A couple of relatively well-known rappers were murdered.

menace39 @ 8:42 pm #

1) Death of Tupac
2) Death of Eazy-E
3) Death of Biggie
4) Death of Big L
5) Death of Big Pun
6) Death of Left Eye
7) Death of Proof 8) Death of J Dilla
9) Death of Pimp C
10) Death of Stack Bundles
And I know there plenty more but thats what came to my mind and all the dances and soulja boy are also low points in hiphop.

How about the deaths of 2pac, Notorious B.I.G., Big L, Pimp C, Big Pun, et?

November 19, 2007

The murders of some of the greats: Scott La Rock, Jam Master Jay, Tupac, Biggie… RIP.

Flav. Flav, Flav, Flav. *shakes head* What can I even say?

Nelly’s Tip Drill video. It just didn’t help hip hop with all its detractors at all. I don’t deny him his right to freedom of expression, but it’s my freedom of expression to say that I really wish that video had never been made.
(on Nelly, I cosign you about the KRS beef. That was just inane)

P Diddy cashing in on Big’s death with I’ll Be Missing You.

50 starting the whole “fake beefs for publicity” thing.

Posthumous Tupac releases. Enough already.

hip hop today…lack of creativity word play and intelligentsia…lol we have lost what Rap Music is. NAS and a few are trying to give us that gift we so much need. We have come to depend too much on beats and not enough on creativity and word play and story line. If you disagree with me go back and study the greats of the past and present. We are hip hop and hip hop is not only rap music but a revolution without violence. Look at the world…far as Japan to Africa and the middle East, people the words of the oppressed and brutalized were the one that gave us RAP MUSIC and HIP HOP. Until we understand that we are lost and forgotten the real truth of our music we gave to the world. The low Point Is Now

Lowest point? When rappers decided to aim thier music towards women and made the music all pussy and lame and about the club. Then all the fresh out of the closet lil wayne lovers going crazy for his dick. Everytime you listen to mainstream, another mound of dirt is applied to the grave of true rap/hip-hop.

Luke Campbell, Luke Skywalker or the 2 Live Crew or whatever you want to call them….they were a disgrace to rap..(in case people don’t know…another moniker of his is Doo Doo Brown…look it up in the wiki…it’s there!!!)
