QUEEN ESHA asked:
I wanted to know where is the best place in queens or any other borough to move to for less than, $1200 a month, Bronx is out of the question, seems to far, I only make 40,000 so I cant go over and only have 5,000 in savings and a car and furniture, that I will probably sell which will make my savings 8,000. I heard queens is more cultural and not as hood, well except for South Side Jamaica, Ive lived in brooklyn before and really don’t like it I stayed in bushwick, bedstuy, ENY, and flatbush, bedstuy was my favorite, but anyways I have a friend who stays in Woodmere which is mad far, and also a friend who lives in astoria and I like that spot as well. Any sugestions, BTW I don’t do well with roommates cause they like to use all your shit without askin and don’t pay bills on time, I like to stay sane and pay my bills on time as well as keeping up with my stuff.
I live in atl now, which is alt cheaper. When i transfer to NYC they will increase my income probaly to 52,500 i belive.

MalG asked:
Me and two roommate (all female) are looking to move into a 3 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. The 3 of us have lived in NY for 4 years going to college moving from places in Manhatten to BK to Queens. However now we’re trying to find a cheaperish apartment now that school loans have run out and we’re entering the “real” world. We’re looking to stay around 2,000 dollars a month total… Any suggestions on the good neighborhoods? We’re already trying for Park Slope-ish areas and Williamsburg. What I’m really trying to find out is where in Bushwick is safe, like streets/sections that are safe? Is Sunset park a good idea? We’re not delusional and expecting perfection but we want to feel comfortable coming home late at night alone…. any suggestions?
