I spent the last few months searching for an apt in Brooklyn off Craigslist. A lot were a bust, and the landlord for the one I was promised was a douche and dragged me along for two months then blew me off. I know the basics but If anyone has any inside tips on a better method to find a good, cheap apartment in Williamsburg area, Help! (one bedroom under 1000 a mo. or 2 bedroom under 1900 a mo is my max) I can’t afford a broker so I’m a little stuck. Any tips about anything will help me out. Thanks! also, I know it’s cheaper in Bushwick but I really don’t want to live there, for reasons that don’t need an explanation.
